Services and expertise
Estonian Marine Institute of University of Tartu owns both chemical and biological laboratories for performing various analyses, a specialized library, analytical knowledge, diving and sampling capabilities (e.g. benthic grabs, plankton tow nets and scientific fishing gear), research ships and smaller vessels. The existing research infrastructure enables high-end basic and applied marine research using various methods.
The competence of the Estonian Marime Institute also includes big data analysis, digital solutions related to data analysis (for example, evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions), online decision support, etc.
